South Africa: Several areas are without power in Randfontein on the West Rand, where Eskom says a transformer caught fire at one of it's substations.
Motlhabane Ramashi, Eskom's maintenance and operations senior manager in Gauteng, said that the transformer caught fire at around 8 am on Saturday and at this point in time the cause of the fire is unknown. He added that the duration of power restoration will depend on the extent of the damage to the transformer.
Affected areas include the Randfontein Municipality, Randfontein Industries, and Azaadville.
