Ingeteam will supply inverters to what is said to be Europe's largest PV project standing at 500MW in the region of Murcia in Spain, being built by ACS Group and its subsidiary Cobra.
The Mula PV plant, a 1,000-hectare project located in the south-east of the municipality of Mula, will produce more than 750 million kWh of electricity per year, providing sufficient energy to supply the equivalent of 450,000 people.
The firm is also supplying the LV/MV transformer, MV switchgear, LV switchboard and auxiliary services transformer.
The firm will position and connect the 74 inverter stations, in addition to the commissioning and electromechanical installation work.
Chinese PV manufacturer Trina Solar will be providing PV modules to the project.
The plant could be fully operational by the end of 2019 with a connection to the El Palmar substation.
