French transformer manufacturer JST transformateurs has shipped its largest power transformer ever produced at its facility in Lyon, France.
This generator step-up shell-form transformer has been successfully tested in the company’s laboratory prior to being sent overseas.
It weighs 430 tons, and will be installed in Ghazlan generating station in Saudi Arabia.
Ghazlan is one of the largest fossil fuel generation plant in the Middle East, and is operated by the Saudi Electricity Company. The plant has 4000 MW of production capacity.
