Nigeria, Lagos: The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) commissioned a brand new 40 MVA 132 kV mobile transformer to raise the capacity of its Ejigbo transmission substation from 160 MVA to 200 MVA.
The new mobile transformer has been energised, and is one of the three transformers earmarked for the Ejigbo substation, reports All Africa.
According to TCN, the installation works on the other two transformers has reached advanced stages. These two 100 MVA 132 kV transformers will replace the old 30 MVA units and add 140 MVA capacity to the station, bringing the overall transformer capacity of the Ejigbo substation to 340 MVA.
